Orchestra Academy 2027

We look forward to the 2027 Orchestra Academy, taking place
from 12 to 24 July 2027 in Lenk im Simmental.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Who: Musicians between 8 and 16 years of age

When: July 12 – 24, 2027

Where: Lenk im Simmental (Berne)

Participation Fee: 790 CHF.
20% discount for each additional family member

All auditions are conducted online and by video
Applications can be submitted from November 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027.
The selection of candidates will be announced on February 8, 2027.
The video recording must include a work chosen by the applicant with a slow and a fast movement that showcases the technical and musical qualities of the applicant.
Duration of the video: 3 – 5 min (with or without piano).
For percussionists: the video recordings must include a work with a slow and a fast movement that highlights the applicant’s technical and musical qualities for each of the instrument groups listed below:
- Keyboards (marimba, xylophone or vibraphone)
- Timpani
- Snare drum

KUSPO, Course and Sports Centre

Kuspo is located in the idyllic holiday resort of Lenk, Bern.

The participants are accommodated in rooms for 4 to 6 people. The meals are offered to us by the kitchen team.

The various and varied rooms of the house offer us the opportunity to carry out tutti and register rehearsals and leisure activities.

The house offers a basketball, volleyball and soccer field, table football and table tennis.

Thursday, July 22 , in Lenk, multi-purpose hall, 7:00 pm
Friday, July 23 , in Solothurn, concert hall, 7:00 p.m.

Admission to the concerts is free (voluntary collection).
Seats cannot be reserved for the concerts.
